The Ford Focus ST has proven to be a popular hot hatch in the Australian market with a plethora of simple bolt on power upgrades making them relatively cheap and easy to go fast.

From factory, the Focus ST is equipped with 320x25mm front rotors coupled with a large single piston floating caliper. The rear rotors measure 271x17mm in size and are complimented with a much smaller single piston caliper.
Tipping the scales at almost 1.5 tonnes, the Focus ST pushes the limits on the factory brake setup under performance driving and track conditions resulting in overheating and overall poor braking performance.
To address these shortcomings, D2 recommends the 6 pot 356x32mm 2 piece fixed/floating rotor kit for the front and a 4 pot 330x32mm 2 piece fixed/floating rotor kit for the rear – suitable for the 18″ OEM and aftermarket wheels.
The most notable advantages are the increased rotor diameter and thickness and 2 piece rotor design which will dissipate heat quickly and efficiently.

Additionally, the D2 6 piston caliper provides a larger pad surface area, improved modulation characteristics and is remarkably 3kg (50%!) lighter each caliper compared to the OEM calipers.

With everything you need in a big brake kit upgrade – calipers, rotors, pads, ADR approved brake lines, brackets, fittings – the D2 Ford Focus brake kits are for the drivers looking for serious braking performance starting at $2590: https://d2race.com.au/shop/ford/focus-st-5-x-108-pcd-2012/

With a choice of 4 colours as standard and unique polished finishes available, take the next step and make your kit unique as shown with the Polished Gold caliper upgrade (additional $450 a pair).
